Are you smart enough to be a home based business entrepreneur?

How smart are you, anyway?  Are you smart enough to be a home based business entrepreneur?  I know that is a curious question.

During a training review this morning, something struck me and I wanted to share it with you.  We always want to correct others or “fix” them when a mistake is made or if they are doing something different from how we would do it.

We all would like to think we are smarter than the next guy/girl but are we really?  Are you really smarter?  Does it even matter in our industry?  Not really.

How smart do you have to be as a Home Based Business Owner?

The only thing that matters is the actions you are taking everyday to grow your home based business and as a human being.  We are constantly growing, even Einstein continued to grow as a human being.  Success leaves clues, there is actually a recipe to follow.  Anyone can follow a recipe, so what are the actions you need to take?  What is your recipe?  Your team will have that for you.

Stop looking at what you think you know and look at your results. Start looking at your actions and are they getting you closer to your goals.   If you think you are smarter than the next guy/girl, show them with your actions.

Asking questions will get you closer to what you want in your home based business.  If you see someone who could benefit from your advice or your opportunity, lead them with a variety of open ended questions and find out what their desire is, not yours.  You will begin to see the value they bring to the situation.

Respect the person you are speaking with, ask them questions and find out what their goals are.  Share your value with them and help them see their value.  Show others how smart you really are by the actions you take daily, not what you think you know…

Setting goals and create the future. How do you do that? Well, know what it is you want and take the steps to make it happen. Yes, I got it, easier said than done. First thing is stop worrying what others think of you and how you look to them. Let me tell you, yes you do look stupid and yes, they think you’re an idiot...ok, feel better? Good :)

Truth is, they are too worried about what you think about them and how they look to you.
